Family Hair Studio - Arundel

stars for this salon I have a pre existing hair colour from my other hairdresser and she is kind enough to tell me what colours shes used for my hair as she was away for quiet sometime and I went to a different hairdresser as well after that I went to the Family Hair Studio in Arundel Plaza and I am quiet nervous that they cant match my hair colour or blend in because I inquired in person before and they said they dont use what my original hairdresser do I went today at am and finished at about pm Dee is my lovely hairdresser Even though she is busy she is very attentive of my needs She have showed and explained to me what are the colours she will blend to match my existing hair colour To my delight my hair looks really nice it felt really soft and it smells so good I had a full head foils done with trim and also I had it curled Dees hand is so light and gentle on my head and I found my self snoozing lols I have read so many negative reviews about this salon like the waiting time is ridiculous and that the staffs doesnt communicate well stating about the language barrier This place is so busy and I watched them attended each customer with care and for the waiting time yes it can be busy but if you want to be attended straightaway then come early and dont lose your spot I asked Dee why they dont accept bookings she simply said that her boss decided not to have it anymore as the customers cancel or sometimes dont turn up I know my hair appointment would be over hours so I came at the earliest time they opened but even at the time of my arrival theres already customers in I am very happy with the service and I highly recommend this place It is affordable and they are very professional

Great service the staff were lovely and helped on the same day after another salon had to cancel due to illness My daughter is so happy with her hair

Regrow and foils Very Disappointing Experience I had been saving for weeks to finally treat myself to a professional hair appointment as Im on a very tight budget I arrived with high hopes especially after showing the stylist a photo of myself with the exact colour and foil style I wanted She seemed to understand and I felt confident in the beginning She applied the foils rinsed toned and then applied a product asking me to wait minutes However she then left to cut another clients hair I ended up waiting about minutes with the product in my hair before she returned She took me back to my seat then asked me to wait again while she completed that other cut By that time I had already been there for hours and needed to leave as I had a babysitter watching my daughter When she removed the towel I immediately commented that it looked dark but assumed the foils would show more once it was dry Unfortunately they never did Despite seeing her apply the foils the final result looked nothing like the photo I showed her I voiced my concerns especially since there were no visible highlights at the front and she simply handed me a mirror to check the back I explained that most people see me fronton so that didnt help Most disappointingly she didnt offer any kind of solution apology or compensationeven though it was clear I was very unhappy She still charged me the full price which felt incredibly unfair considering the result I left the salon feeling embarrassed wearing my sunhat and holding back tears To give you an idea of how off the colour was my yearold daughter looked at me and said Mum you look like an emo Kids dont filterthey just say what they see I honestly feel I couldve achieved the same or better result using a box dye from Coles I will not return and unfortunately cannot recommend this salon based on my experience Would you like to tailor this for a specific review platform like Google Facebook or Yelp I can adjust the tone or format depending on where youre planning to post it
