I would strongly advise against establishing care with Dr Jose L Bautista if you are unable to spend several hours waiting to be seen While he has been a longtime family doctor for my husbands side of the family and Ive even referred others to him based on their positive experiences my own experience has been disappointing and frustrating This past month I attempted to establish care and had two unsatisfactory encounters My first appointment was scheduled for AM I arrived early around AM and was not seen until after PM The office closed for lunch from to and I remained in the waiting room as staff locked the doors and left for their break no one offered me the option to leave or come back After lunch additional patients were called in before me I was finally seen at PM The visit itself was underwhelming The doctor spent roughly minutes performing basic cognitive tests then told me I was perfectly healthy and referred to me as a boring patient When I questioned his assessment he responded condescendingly asking if I wanted to see his medical license He eventually said he would order labs and ended the visit Because of the delay I had to request additional time off from work to protect my job My supervisor aware of a previous situation involving this doctor in Sanger advised me to seek care elsewhere Despite that I decided to give him another chance Today I had a followup visit scheduled virtually for AM I logged in at AM and waited minutes with no update I finally logged off at PM At PM I received a missed call and a voicemail from the doctor himself where he oddly mentioned seeing my commercials and chuckled It felt inappropriate and unprofessional The office made additional calls at and PM but I was already back at work and unable to attend the rescheduled attempt Had I known the virtual appointment would require half a day of availability I would have made different arrangements I am shocked by the lack of professionalism and disregard for patients time While I am not questioning Dr Bautistas medical expertise or his ability to help others I can speak to my personal experience which reflects a troubling lack of consideration for patient scheduling and followthrough Ultimately I have decided to seek care elsewhere It is clear that this doctor is overextended and my healthcare needs are not being met in his practice

The doctor is rude inconsiderate unprofessional and most of all does not seem to care about his patients as much as his bottom line He never answers messages He never keeps to his schedule And when these things are addressed he becomes defensive and lies While I was involved with him I was in severe back pain I asked for an appointment to be evaluated for the severity of my injury but was denied and only given pain pills He prescribed pain pills not carried by my pharmacy and because his staff does not pick up the phone and when they do he doesnt respond to messages anyway I eventually had to drive there to address this issue in person I was asking for an equal or generic replacement Instead he made me set another phone appoint for am two days later He never called hours later I had to call him I was upset and called him out for his apparent lack of empathy and unprofessional attitude at my physical pain He cursed me and told me to go to hell and find another doctor DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS FAMILY THEY ARE ONLY INTERESTED IN THEIR TITLES AND COULD NOT CARE LESS ABOUT THE PATIENTS
