Boss Fred Auto Repair and Sales

Someone backed into my sons car and it needed to get repaired at a repair shop very close to Boss Freds When we went to pick up the Honda Civic at the auto body shop they told us that the bearing needed replaced completely unrelated to the accident We knew it needed replaced because it was very loud so we agreed with them The auto body shop convinced us to let them take it to Boss Freds because he could replace the bearing in a day and they would give us a great price We reluctantly agreed because we have a local repair shop that we love We dropped the car off with the auto body shop on a Monday and they took it over to Boss Freds They called that day around noon with a price of We agreed so they ordered the bearing We called that night just before they closed and were told that they replaced the bearing but now the electronic system was throwing codes and the parking brake light was on They did something to reset the electrical system overnight and continued to try different things on Tuesday Late Tuesday morning they called to give us an update that they couldnt get the electronic system to work so he was going to put the old bearing on to see if it was a bad bearing That didnt work either so we finally told them to leave the old bearing on and we were going to pick it up We picked up our car and thankfully they didnt charge us On the drive to our regular repair shop the car flashed every electronic warning light it had We took it to our trusted repair shop and they knew exactly what the problem was Apparently you need a special tool to remove the bearing in a Civic Boss Fred likely didnt have that tool so in the process of taking off the old bearing they broke the actuator and the harness A bearing turned into for our shop to replace the bearing and fix the things that Boss Fred broke Lesson learned Boss Fred does not know what they are doing and will try to learn on your car potentially leaving you with an expensive problem to fix Would never recommend them You can see my other reviews to see who in the area I absolutely would recommend to fix your car One week later update it gets better When Boss Fred was troubleshooting the electric problem they thought a good solution would be to completely drain the battery They told us they did this at least once possibly twice Of course that didnt fix the problem and one week later after we got everything fixed by another company my son left to go to school and the battery was dead Add another to the repair One bad bearing turned into of repairs thanks to Boss Fred

I went in to get my battery fixed and oil changed and they helped SO MUCH If I could rate it stars I would because the wait was a bit longer than expected on average it would take m to h but it took about hr and here But my experience was still good Thank you Boss Fred
