Everything was great from the time I walked in the door til the time my truck was finished Great customer service and very honest mechanic I had a transmission pit in maybe months ago and my truck runs great It was worth the money and great price
Based on recommendations I had the transmission I bought sent here without looking at this place in person I really trusted this place and I had been with out a car about two weeks before I decided on this place This please has so many cars in the lot I promise you I would have never but it was too late It took about two weeks for my transmission to be replaced I gave them grace because I didnt know that they didnt work on weekends and closed at and it was the holidays Dec Jan I was charged about for them to out the transmission in Jan and I thought that was reasonable compared to the others The communication was not the best I had to follow up on my car several times through out to see when it would be completed After the installation the car has had a heavy vibration ever since
Brought it back to see if it was the mounts or anything else at the time the tech was clueless rode with me and told me he didnt see anything wrong with it and to just drive it I did that now not even months later the vibration is worse and the transmission is leaking and the axle is leaking and was told NOW that the vibration could possibly be the transmission The transmission is under warranty but I would have to pay for labor Christina texted me and told me that Street Smart was sending a replacement transmission and would give me an eta and what part of labor they would pay I never gave consent for the transmission to be replaced Who has the time Who has the Money They made that decision without talking to me With this shop keeping your car forever and labor hours Im sure I cant afford that at this time Christina was so nice at the beginning of all this but as soon as I started to question things and try to find out more about was the axle causing the vibration or the mounts or the transmission itself and called street smart directly she became so assertive and rude She also told me a customer couldnt start a repair claim I assume because they need pictures but when I called street smart they were way more helpful than she was showing empathy and courtesy toward the situation I couldnt believe how she switched up as I have called her several times after the installation and throughout the year about the same thing even sent her videos showing her the shaking and she was so nice I dont think she thought I would show back up one day
She also kept making me aware how I didnt want to wait over time within conversation I got my car towed there on Monday and its Wednesday to finally get a solution
I believe if they had done their due diligence to begin with this could have been taken care of immediately after installation It was a lot of guessing on her part of what actually was going on so Im assuming when she finally called street smart they just wanted to replace it This was after I took it firestone and they told me the transmission was leaking and they also told me the transmission mount was broken Mind you none of this was going on before the transmission installation and I made that clear According to her the mounts are not broken but wanted to replace them which she said she couldnt find This business is limited on time service and lifts and to me knowledge I wouldnt recommend this business to anyone
The switch up is so real if you have an issue or question anything Beware
