Charlotte was recommended by a work colleague and l have seen her twice She is so warm and friendly and listened to what l wanted including what l wasnt sure about and then worked her magic lm very happy with the cut and colour Vicky is also lovely and l appreciated how gently she handled my thin hair and she did a lovely straightvolume dry Would highly recommend

Heartbroken and deeply disappointed after years as loyal customers
We my mother and I have supported this business faithfully for over two decades and have spent a substantial amount of money here Sadly our recent experience has made us feel disrespected and unwelcome
Prior to making an appointment we made sure that afterpay was available and a BNPL option through the salon We were not informed that it would had to be processed through a thirdparty Salon Pay nor were we informed of having to pay additional afterpay charges which goes against Afterpays policies of not passing on fees to customers
When attempting to make payment via a thirdparty payment option salon pay there was an issue with the platform and payment did not go through When we questioned what the issue was we were told that it was our problem to sort out
I have since been in contact with salon pay and have been told by them that had the salon contacted them directly they would have been able to fix on their end whatever issue that had occurred
The business owner claimed the only way they accept afterpay is through the thirdparty application Salon Pay in which I have to fill in my personal details first and sign up for an account in addition to paying an extra afterpay fee on top of what was already owing for services rendered
I was never made aware of having to pay through a thirdparty platform nor was I ever made aware of having to pay an extra fee for using afterpay
Had I been informed of this PRIOR to my appointment it would have given me the opportunity to either save the money in full or seek alternative hair salons that do offer afterpay as a BNPL option
We were not offered any solutions or any other payment options and we were forced to have to use the funds that was put aside for groceries and medications which has resulted in us not being able to afford basic living essentials for the next two weeks Full payment was made prior to us vacating the premises
The extra charge we were forced to pay is misleading and goes directly against Afterpays terms which clearly state that businesses must not pass on fees to customers
This entire situation is highly concerning because it goes directly against both Afterpay and Salon Pays policies According to Afterpays terms of service businesses are not permitted to pass their merchant fees onto customers These fees are meant to be absorbed by the business not added on top of a customers bill By rerouting the payment through Salon Pay and adding a surcharge your salon is misleading customers and bypassing a policy designed to protect them
Weve since lodged formal complaints with Afterpay NT Consumer Affairs and the ACCC as we believe this practice is unfair and potentially unlawful
To make matters worse the apprentice Vicky made an incredibly inappropriate and offensive comment saying
If you cant afford to pay for your hair in full maybe you shouldnt be getting it done
This was extremely hurtful judgmental and completely unacceptable especially coming from someone representing the business We didnt expect to be shamed for using a Buy Now Pay Later service that thousands of Australians use every day
After years of loyalty we expected better we expected honesty transparency and to be treated with respect Instead we were met with hidden charges and condescending remarks
We hope this business reconsiders how it treats its loyal customers and ensures all staff including apprentices are trained in basic professionalism and empathy
